Environmentally Friendly
Our first name is Green, and for good reason. Green Light’s advanced energy-efficient lighting systems are not only good for your bottom line; they’re good for the planet as well.
Why?
For every kilowatt of energy produced, power plants must burn a specific quantity of coal, oil, or natural gas. This combustion releases air pollutants such as carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxide. These gases can contribute to global warming, acid rain, and smog. They have also been linked to poor air quality and other negative environmental repercussions. By dramatically decreasing energy usage and consumption, Green Light clients are making an important impact on the environment.
Considering that lighting constitutes about 25% of electricity usage in the United States – about $40 billion annually – the potential impact of converting to efficient lighting can be enormous.
