Multifamily Water, Lighting and Energy Savings with LL87 Compliance

Gutman Management

Multiple Locations

Project Description
Gutman Management is based in Brooklyn, NY and specializes in multifamily buildings. They operate properties throughout New York State and Connecticut. GreenLight worked with Gutman Management, throughout their portfolio, to lower the electric and water bills and obtain Local Law 87 compliance.
GreenLight replaced old and inefficient circline fluorescent fixtures in the common areas with high efficiency compact fluorescent fixtures, which entailed a complete rewiring and fixture replacement, as well as replaced the outdoor High Pressure Sodium wall packs with new LED wall packs. To address the water usage, GreenLight installed vandal-resistant, low-flow, pressure-compensating showerheads and faucet aerators in all of the apartment units. Upon completion of the installation, GreenLight’s engineering team provided a whole-building energy study and retro-commissioning service to enable the property to meet the requirements of NYC Local Law 87.
