Project Description
Marino/WARE Industries is one of the leading steel manufacturing facilities in the United States. Their facilities specialize in producing high quality products for the construction industry and are used nationwide. Their processing plant at 901 Coopertown Road in Delanco, NJ includes vast shop and warehouse areas illuminated by specialized high intensity discharge (HID) fixtures.
GreenLight worked with Marino/WARE Industries on a strategy to improve the lighting output in their critical spaces while simultaneously reducing the utility costs at the facility. The existing fixtures were replaced with high efficiency High Bay lamps that significantly reduced energy usage of the lighting and improved the light output. Occupancy sensors were installed to ensure that lighting fixtures were off when works spaces were unoccupied, which was a source of additional savings. The result was lower utility bills and clear visibility for the workers on the factory floor. GreenLight secured rebates to fund part of the work such that combined with the energy savings the return on investment for the project was realized in less than 2 years.
